Root Cellar has a strong sense of community and helping. We partnered with the Center for Sacramento History and have given hundreds of hours for transcribing/ extracting / indexing for them. It benefits Root Cellar Sacramento Genealogical Society, Center for Sacramento History and the public in general. It is a win-win for all.
Once a year Pat Johnson, Senior Archivist and Volunteer Coordinator for the Center of Sacramento History invites us for a special luncheon. It is a nice gesture but also allows us a social time with all the staff in the Center- getting to know them better.
This is only a small group for lunch this time. But it is all good and appreciate by all.
Thanks to ALL our volunteers. A big shout out to Marilyn Ulbricht who leads this group and keeps projects moving forward.
